Linkin Park...live!

This was truly the best concert I've ever been to...

I am too lazy to write a one page long review now, but everyone who saw Linkin Park live will understand that it was simply stunning!
The whole journey to Frankfurt worked out pretty well and we (one of my best friends and her brother) never missed one of our trains or something like that ;)
When we arrived at the venue, the first thing I did was buying merch, so now I have two T-Shirts, one Hoodie and a download code for the concert :D

We had seats so we did not went that early to the venue what also means that we didn't wait too long until Disco Ensemble came on stage. They made a pretty good show and I really like some of their songs, but they actually had no real chance to "heat up" the crowd.

Because the supporting band started pretty early Linkin Park came on stage before 9 pm :D
When I saw their shadows behind the curtain I started hyperventilating a bit, because I could not believe that I was actually at a Linkin Park concert :)
And from the first moment on I was sure that this was something very special for me and on the other side I just couldn't stop screaming and singing :D
My best friend was so cute during the whole concert. It was her first one and she didn't stop taking a pictures and looking at me like "WOW!"

Some of my personal highlights:
  • this was honestly the setlist of my dreams
  • during Numb the crowd totally freaked out and I was shouting my lungs out
  • I nearly died when they brought the acoustic guitar on stage, because I knew that they would play one of my favourites: The Little Things Give You Away
  • during the whole song I stood still, didn't make a move and I could feel the tears in my eyes. I wiped them off after the song and my friend hugged me, because she noticed when I did.
  • when they started to play Crawling you really had the feeling that the hall is exploding
  • then they played my favourite: In The End
  • I actually thought that I couldn't scream louder than I did during Crawling, but I could :D
  • Chester brought his son on stage during In The End and walked with him over the whole stage. I really want to have a photo of the moment when Chester walked to Mike and Mike petted his cheek.
  • when my friend and I noticed that the next song was Bleed It Out , we looked at each other and screamed so damn loud ;)
  • after Rob's drum solo they stopped and someone came on stage with a cake, because it was Rob's birthday and then Mike and Chester made the whole crowd sing "Happy Birthday".
  • the next moment I nearly died was when they played the piano version of Pushing Me Away, but I think I was too thrilled to cry
  • they closed the show with Faint and I sooo love the long live version of it
It actually felt like they only played five minutes and I couldn't believe that everything was over...but I'm one hundred percent sure that I'll go to another Linkin Park concert ;)

Wow looks like it was one HELL of an amazing concert, i'm going to one of the UK ones on 25th January this week :) It looks to be AMAZING though i heard biffy clyro or something is the support band, and they are really emo which i don't like. But i guess i'll see :D and i'll be getting a download code and some merch too :D setlist looks great too btw

i'm glad you enjoyed that concert, but, well, since it's linkin park, it's expectable that they would made a remarkable concert ^^

and the setlist of my dreams, i don't think they would ever play it, 'cause it'd have to include "easier to run" and "runaway", which are songs they don't usually play, specially the first one... :(

I've never been to any concert of them, but all I hear about their concerts is positive...

And yeah, the chance of going to a concert where they'd play "easier to run" is pretty small, specially since minutes to midnight, now they they don't play much songs from the elder albums (which are my favourite, btw) beyond the singles... :|
