#025: Icons

First of all: I am now the proud owner of a driving licence!
One of the main reasons I had no time last week, because I had driving lessons in every free minute :)
Another thing is that I had no school on Monday, so I was able to go to Cologne with my friend where (fortunately on Monday) Stephenie Meyer had a stop of her promotional tour.

 I am not able to recall everything that happened, but I decided to list some “highlights”:

• we had no tickets so we had no idea IF we would even make it inside of the boat (yes, it was on a boat :D)
• we came in AND had seats in the second row, because a friend was able to get them for us
• I can’t remember all the questions, but one of them was awesome: “How do Jacob and Bella fit in one sleeping back?” I think everyone started laughing and Stephenie just answered: “They had to be very close” and smiled :D
• and another thing made me “squee” a little inside: One person asked to what record of Linkin Park Bella would listen. Stephenie explained very detailed about listening to LP while writing and came to the conclusion that Bella would probably listen to Hybrid Theory

Stephenie read Rosalie's story and a German actress read the part where Edward and Jacob meet before school. I actually didn't like the voice and the whole way the German girl read the part and I was glad when she finished reading...
After that there was a signing. In opposite to most of the other people in the audience (who were wearing Twilight shirts) my friend was wearing a Linkin Park shirt and I was wearing a Placebo one which was a very good choice ;)
When I was ready to get my book signed Stephenie looked up to me, smiled and said: “Oh, Placebo! I have exact the same shirt. That was the best live concert I’ve ever been to.” And the only thing I was able to respond was to smile back, because I actually wasn’t able to say something at that moment and everything went so fast…
When we were outside again I could only talk about the one sentence she said to me :D
Now I am very happy that I really went to that reading, although I’m pretty new to the whole world of Twilight and that I have a signed copy of the first book in English :D
