Since it's

eamesie's birthday (Happy Birthday!) today and my birthday tomorrow (and I usually post something on my birthday), I thought I'd finally share this texture set with you.

I hope it's useful since I tried something different with this set. I used screencaps from Hawaii Five-0 as a base (hence the name) and I think they turned out alright, just a little boring maybe ;)

I personally think that yellow light textures are very useful, so I made this set. I actually made it when LJ was down, but I totally forgot about it :D

First graphic-related post since April...

Because sometimes I'm a little anal about certain things, here's another update since it's my birthday :D
I think the textures I kinda boring, but I like the name. "Kirschkuchen" sounds so much cuter than "cherry pie". Actually I wanted to treat myself (partly because I have money, because I didn't need a new cylinder head gasket after all) with more userpics or extend my paid account, but since the dollar got stronger in the last couple of days, it'll have to wait. Yes, I check the exchange rate (dollar-€) nearly every day.

If you can trust LJ's post count, the next entry will be my 100th entry (despite my own numbering^^). That will either be a ~~epic~~ big icon post on the 24th of December or just another texture set *shrugs*

A week ago I downloaded a free html editor and played around a bit. As a result I "accidentally" coded myself a new profile (Click) ;)
I also have a new layout (and title) which looks much more like summer than the old one.

As I said, no new icon post, but a new texture set. I entered the first contest at

goodtextures and as a result I have three smaller sets. I won't post them all at once, but maybe every two weeks. At least it won't look like this journal is abandoned ;)

This is the result of playing around in Photoshop with lots of Gaussian Blur, different blend modes (mainly Soft Light) and some other standard effects. I like it :D

I made an update on my last birthday and I really wanted to make one this year. Obviously I succeeded :D

This time it's just a simple black and white texture set, but I hope that some might like it.

Finally another update after nearly one month. As I said in my last entry I started university and my whole focus was on that last month.
As you can see I have a new layout (Click). I'm working on my own layout code at the moment, but I'm really unsatisfied with it...

I stumbled across this tutorial today and had the sudden urge to make a texture set that is (loosely) based on it. It's a picture of some pumpkins that I took four years ago, I think it's fitting :D

I finished my written exams today and to celebrate this special occasion I want to share two texture sets with you :)
They are based on this tutorial by

abernathi , but I obviously used a different colouring. The base image was a photo taken by me of a statue in Weimar, so I named the textures "Poetry" since the city is very famous for its poets Goethe and Schiller ;)
